[Photo|Busia County Government]Kenya National Union of Nurses Busia branch on Friday apologized to patients who went without their services for 150 days.They promised to deliver better services when they resume normal duties on Monday November 6 after their nationwide strike was called off.The Union branch Secretary Juliet Kilima said they are remorseful to families who lost their dear ones during the strike, adding that it was not their liking to go n the long strike."I want to assure all patients that all 516 nurses across the county including 80 at Busia county and Referral Hospital will report on duty on Monday without fail," she said.A spot check at the eight wards including female, male, maternity, newborn and pediatric, beddings showed that they were neat in readiness for the formal admission of inpatients. The County government of Busia has added 33 new beds to be used by patients starting Monday.
