The nurses union has issued a fresh strike notice due unpaid allowance that was negotiated during the previous strike.
The estimated Sh 7B funds was part of a negotiated agreement between the nurses and the government to woo them back to work and suspend their strike in December 2016 as the governments fast tracks the implementation of their harmonized Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Secretary General Seth Panyako claims that 45 counties are yet to disburse the funds to the nurses.
Panyako is also calling on the county governments to also award all health workers in the public health sectors a health service allowance.
