Leaders and politicians have been urged to have measures in place which will help nurture young talented students.

Speaking during the Inauguration of the newly elected student president for Kisii county at Daraja Mbili primary school, the school chairman Robert Nyagweso challenged leaders and politicians to help in nurturing students who have various talents.

“Today (Thursday) we have gathered here for celebrations since the current student presidents hail from this school," said Nyangweso.

"We hope this is one way of helping our students learn leadership in their early stages simply because they are future leaders of this great nation," she added.

Therefore, he said that leaders and politicians to set up the measures in which will nurture students who have some talents.

“There are many children who have various talents, leaders and politicians need to help in nurturing them so that they can exploit their talents," said Nyangweso.

He also challenged the parents to mentor their children through guidance and counseling.

“I would like to congratulate the parents of this school for their effort and support and let them mentor their children and help them in leadership,” he added.

Daraja Mbili was lucky to produce the student president and six more students who will be in the students cabinet in the entire county.
