West Mugirango residents in Nyamira who use the Nyabite-Bobembe Road have decried the poor state of roads that has rendered it impassable.
Speaking on Friday, the residents blamed area leadership for turning a deaf year over their cry on the poor state of interior roads.
They have asked the county government to salvage the situation by constructing the roads to enable them in the transportation.
“The road has caused a lot of losses in the area and therefore we ask Governor John Nyagarama to address the issue. The potholes in the road cannot allow transportation of goods from the interior to the markets because vehicles cannot pass,” said Omwenga Nyabuga, a resident.
Another resident, Dr Joshua Ongori, said, “The leaders have been giving empty promises for years now that they could work on the roads, and, therefore, its high time they tell us what we should do.”
Peter Manyansa, a victim from Bobembe said the destructed road narrates how he broke his leg when he was passing the road after it had rained.
