"We are all happy that our girls registered an exemplary performance, but most of the students might have suffered and even been traumatised for the month-long wait. I therefore ask these students to be counseled accordingly in order to revert," suggested Nyaribo.

The National Girls School scored 9.237 points, their best performance so far since the inception of the 8-4-4 system. The school senior principal Elmeldah Ochenge, attributed the impressive performance to hard work among the students and the well coordinated staff.

Out of 235 students who sat for last year's examinations in the school, 234 attained an aggregate grade of C+ and above, the minimum entry to university, while only one student scored a C (plain).
