Students of Nyabururu Girls High School in Kisii County on Wednesday evening went on rampage after the removal of their school headteacher.
The school principal Ms Emelda Onchenge was interdicted following reports that she has been allowing teachers to give students corporal punishment that has left some students with serious injuries.
The students went on rampage after they received reports that their principal had been interdicted by the ministry of education.
Ant-riot police officers had a hard time to calm the situation as students blocked Nyakoe - Kisii town road.
The students were forced to back to their dormitories after hours of protest.
The students were singing songs against the ministry of education accusing education Cs Dr. Fred Matiang'i for the removal of their principal.
