The controversial Nyacaba community land in Juja sub-county is set to be officially registered with the Ministry of Lands after efforts by Juja sub-county assistant commissioner Mohammed Abdi.
Abdi said that he noted with concern that chaos had erupted after the area MP, Francis Munyua, had commenced the construction of a public school on the land.
Speaking to the press on Monday, the administrator said that the Land officials from Thika lands office are set to tour the area later this week where they will interact with the residents and the leaders to try solve the challenge.
He added that there was need to engage in dialogue soon before the construction of any structure on the land seeing what it had caused yet it could have been prevented.
“These problems could have been evaded if we engaged in dialogue earlier. The MP went ahead with his construction and the residents who own the land were against it and that’s where the problem came from,” Abdi said.
