Former CIC chairman Mr Charles Nyachae has claimed that ambassador Sam Ongeri was paid so that he can rival him but he said he is confident he will be the next Kisii senator.
Speaking on Sunday at Birongo ward during a fundraiser Nyachae said that the local residents know how he performs compared to other elected leaders in the area as he has delivered more when he was even the CIC chairperson.
“We know my brother Ongeri to have been in politics for very many years but he has not helped the locals and there is a need for him to retire instead of being used and paid by my rivals,” he added.
Though Nyachae called upon the locals to stand by his side as he will spearhead more development projects to the area compared to Ongeri who is supposed to retire.
This comes barely a week after Ongeri supported current Kisii county Governor James Ongwe and claimed that he will run for the senatorial seat which is being keenly ‘hunted’ by Nyachae.
