Former CIC chairman Charles Nyachae had a hard time defending the Omogusii unity initiative after Nyamira County Assembly leader of majority Laban Masira said it lacked a clear agenda.
Nyachae further absolved his counterparts from Kisii County over accusations they sidelined colleagues from Nyamira saying the leaders were informed about the initiative but didn't turn up and that it's when they decided to forge ahead with the plan.
On Friday, Nyachae mentioned some of the leaders from Nyamira who he said were invited to the event held at Otamba in Kisii County last month.
"Nyambati (Walter), (Joash) Nyamoko, Obwocha, (Charles) Mochama, you are all here and can anyone of you deny before this gathering that we didn't invite you to form the Omogusii unity?" posed the former CIC boss when he attended a prize- giving ceremony at Sironga Girls High School.
On his part, Masira said leaders from Nyamira County have been cooperating in sharing ideas from their Kisii colleagues but was quick to note that when the fruits ripen, they are left out.
"We won't be dragged blindly into unclear agendas and we end up being dumped. We are not bridges that people use to cross to their destinations,"said Masira.
