Former Bonchari Member of Parliament Protus Kebati has denied claims that he was decieved by Gusii veteran politician Simon Nyachae to set up a sewage collection system in Suneka.

Speaking to Hivisasa, Mr Kebati made the decision while he was in office after making wide consultations on the matter. 

"I spoke to locals and experts who gave me a go ahead to put up the sewage collection system here. Those spreading rumours against it should be ignored," he said. 

 According to him, initiating the project was hard and had many controversies that have lasted to date. 

He said each campaigning period leaders use the project to pin his leadership down.

"This idea was brought to me by councillors who served in Bonchari but now politicians use it against me," he said. 

Kebati said due to his initiatives Bonchari County remains to be the cleanest Constituency in terms of sanitation and challenged the current MP Oroo Oyioka to copy from him.
