Former minister Simeon Nyachae has urged the Gusii community to unite.

Speaking during the burial of his late wife yesterday, Nyachae said that there is a need for the community to remain united as this will make the region develop. 

Nyachae who seemed to be supporting the recently formed Omogusii unity movement added that politicians should not take advantage of the innocent locals to blackmail them with poor leadership. 

He added that the Gusii community from the past has never engaged in divisive politics. 

He urged Gusii leaders to work closely for good development of the region.
