The Nyacheki by-election in Bobasi will be a litmus test for ODM and the newly formed Jubilee party.
In this election, it will be the first test for Jubilee party after it was launched last month in Nairobi.
ODM will also try for its best so that it can remain strong in the region as it was in 2017.
Ironical according to sources ODM has never won any by-election in Kisii County.
Also, Senator Obure who comes from Bobasi has been seen associating with the Jubilee government wondering whether who he will support the ODM party in this by-election.
Ford Kenya also has a candidate and Moses Wetangula is expected on Friday to campaign for his candidate,
Last Week on Thursday ODM national chairman John Mbadi and other ODM leaders visited the area where they urged residents to vote for their candidate, Raila is also expected to visit the area on Saturday before attending the youth forum at Gusii stadium.
Jubilee side has not yet done their campaigns in the area as it indicates that their candidate is still leading , but sources indicate that Jubilee leaders under Obomo Bwo omogusii are likely to make a major visit where they will campaign towards their candidate.
The seat was left vacant when the area MCA Peter Ongeri died after a long illness
The by-election is scheduled to take place on 26 October.
