Locals of Nyacheki ward in Kisii county on Wednesday morning went on the ballot to elect a MCA after the death of the former.

Polling stations were opened at 6 am in the morning as residents turned up to vote before going on to their daily activities.

Residents have been spotted lined up to vote for their favorite candidate to represent them at the county assembly. 

Many of the voters spotted were elderly people both men and women with a less number of youths turning up.
