This comes a few days after Nyagarama was booed at Nyaramba during the burial of Ex-MP Geoffrey Masanya.

Trouble started when DP William Ruto started inviting local leaders at Kebirigo market for short speeches, but the ground became hostile to Nyagarama who barely uttered a word before Ruto took off the microphone and tried to calm the crowd.

“I didn’t know the situation here but sometimes it’s good to allow leaders to speak because they are the office bearers. Let us try to be tolerant,” Ruto said amidst jeers directed towards Nyagarama who succumbed to pressure and took off the podium.

However, Borabu MP Ben Momanyi stole the show and hailed Jubilee government for launching the projects in the region that overwhelmingly voted for opposition Cord.

“I want to thank your government on behalf of Nyamira people for this projects you’ve launched today. The Nyamira Hospital will serve many people following the facelift and the Kebirigo-Mosobeti road will improve accessibility to tea producing regions,” he said amidst cheers from the crowd.

Depressed Governor Nyagarama walked to his awaiting car with many residents avoiding him and was quickly ushered to his official vehicle and sped off to Kiabonyoru ward where the President was to launch a national polytechnic.
