The ODM national Treasurer had questioned Nyagarama’s intention of posting his image on the solar-powered streetlights and accused the Governor of misplaced priorities.

And on Tuesday, reinforcement officers from Nyamira County were seen pulling down the images a move which Nyagarama termed as ‘necessary’ since the county had reached out to potential advertisers.

“My image wasn’t necessary on the streetlights but the contractors put it so that we can have people coming to ask for space for commercials. That is why you’ve seen my team pulling them down,” he said.

He added: “we have identified potential advertisers and that is why all these activities are going on. Sometimes it’s important to avoid politicising everything. As the governor, I have a plan and a certain way of doing things.”

The  county boss defended his track record and urged his critics to join him and identify more projects for the sake of prosperity of Nyamirans.
