Nyamira County Governor John Nyagarama has called upon President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA leader Raila Odinga to shelve their political desires and engage in a structured dialogue.
Nyagarama words comes a few days to Raila-Kalonzo swearing in scheduled for January 30th.
The county boss warned that the controversial swearing in will lead to more division and lead the country into chaos.
“The parties should come together and find a long-term solution instead of putting the country in a crisis.
It is up to these two leaders, the President and the opposition chief to ensure we live in peace as a country, and this can only be achieved by way of dialogue,” Nyagarama said.
Nyagarama, who was speaking in Nyamira county on Wednesday ,stressed the need to address the issues that arose from 2017 polls.
“Peace is paramount; we have to embrace peace so that the affairs of our great nation can run smoothly. Our leaders should come together and dialogue, and have our people live in harmony,"he said.
