This is according to Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama, who spoke on Saturday at a fundraiser at Marara SDA church in Nyamaiya ward where he urged church leaders to foster harmony among their congregations by preaching peace.

“The church is very crucial in fostering peace and I challenge all church leaders to ensure they preach messages of peace to their congregations since we need peaceful coexistence as we head to the next election," said Nyagarama.

Nyagarama further urged locals to vote for leaders who have the interests of development at heart, and not by being bought to vote certain individuals.

“I urge all the people of Nyamira not vote for people who are ready to bribe but to vote for the people who are developmental oriented for the future of our people depends on economic development," added Nyagarama.
