On a phone interview with this writer, Nyagarama said people should not incite others, and instead stay calm, further warning those causing tension that they will face the law.

"I ask Keroka residents to stop creating boundary disputes and tension and rather work towards embracing peace in the region," he said.

"Those found propagating incitiful words and creating tension will face the law," added Nyagarama.

Nyagarama also said that his government his working close with the Kisii government to solve the territory dispute, adding that they have hatched a process to investigate the ownership of the territory and thus locals should be calm.

"My government is working close with our Kisii counterparts in identifying where the territory belongs to. So I urge my people to be calm as we survey the region in a process of investigating where it lies," said Nyagarama.

This comes after MCAs of both counties visigted the area in several occassions in the past seeking for a lasting solution to no avail.
