Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama has condemned the Tuesday night incident where people three people suspected to be motorbike thieves were set on fire.
"It is very bad to set people on fire for suspecting them to be thieves like last night's incident (Tuesday night), where three young men were set on fire," said Nyagarama.
The governor also added that the suspects whenever are caught should be handed over to the police and not for them to take the law into their hands.
"Whenever you catch a suspect don't take law into your hands let the law take its course by providing them to the relevant authority," he added.
The dead were said to be thieves who have been terrorising the Nyamira County residents for along time one of them being the gang leader.
Nyagarama was speaking on Wednesday at Nyamaiya stadium during Madaraka Day celebrations.
