The ODM ticket has attracted high profile leaders among them west Mugirango MP James Gesami and retired judge David Onyancha.

Gesami who doubles as ODM Nyamira branch chairman and the county boss have been occasionally involved in public duels over management of the county.

“I have been in the party for some time and I don’t fear being subjected to nominations. Our party practices democracy and as a leader, I have no choice other than obeying the rule of law,” he said.

“I will concede defeat if members deny me the opportunity and in the same manner, I expect my opponents to promise the same to the public,” he told a huge gathering at Manga.

Political animosity between the two is likely to resurface when party leader Raila Odinga visits the region on December 2nd this year.
