Nyamira County Governor John Nyagarama has denied awarding relatives tenders contrary to claims from a section of locals.
Nyagarama said he has never condoned relatives in his work station adding that the falsehoods being spread emanates from his competitors.
“Relatives won’t have room to taint my name anymore. I have been falsely accused of favoring relatives when awarding tenders in the county.
"Relatives with intentions that I will favor them to get county tenders should forget getting the county tenders,” he said.
Nyagarama said all regions will benefit from the tenders as stipulated in the existing legislation under county government Act.
“No region will be discriminated when giving county tenders. Any county official found using the backdoor to award tenders to contractors will be dealt with accordingly,” he stated.
