The county government launched 'Linda Mama' programme that would see thousands of expectant mothers benefit.

“The launch of the program to boost maternal health shows that the county boss values the lives of mothers and young ones. 

"Other elected leaders in the County should follow the steps of the governor and help in implementing the program,” said Divinah Gachuba.

She added : "Several women have been delivering at homes due to lack of funds to pay at hospitals."
