Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama has mourned the death of Kenneth Matiba.
The county boss said the country has suffered a big blow following the death of the multiparty democracy fighter.
Nyagarama called on the leaders in the country to emulate the late Matiba’s styles of politics and leadership.
“Matiba will be remembered for his efforts to fight for multiparty in the country’s politics especially when he unsuccessfully vied for presidency in 1992 and 2007. His death should bring unity and peace among leaders in this country,” stated Nyagarama.
The county chief promised to follow Matiba’s footstep to deliver services to the people of Nyamira in his last term in office.
“Matiba was a peace loving leader throughout his several years in leadership and he was supportive to his opponents.
"My rivals should also be supportive to my government so help me in pushing for the development agenda which I have for the people of Nyamira and stop spreading hatred and propaganda about my leadership,” he stated.
