Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama has ordered for an audit of the qualifications of county enforcement officers.

Also the affected are the subordinate staff.

Nyagarama who was re-elected for a second term said that the audit is meant to get rid of unqualified staff, ghost workers and irregularly hired employees and prevent misuse of county funds.

On Wednesday, the County Treasury offices were found open and several computers stolen, which has raised concerns about the employees.

Nyagarama retained his seat on ODM ticket.
