Nyamira governor John Nyagarama has pledged to invest more in the Health sector save residents from the challenge travelling far looking for treatment.
Speaking on Wednesday at Nyamaiya Stadium, Nyagarama revealed he has plans to bring more resources to the sector to i prove health provision in the county.
“In my county, I need the health sector to be at high standards as compared to other sectors so that our patients can’t be forced to travel to other hospitals looking for treatment,” said Nyagarama.
Nyagarama also said Nyamira Level Five Hospital has already installed digital CT scan machines and dialysis machines adding that more equipment is going to be installed at the facility.
The governor urged Nyamira residents to be vigilant and cautious during the ongoing El Nino rains pounding the county.
