With only one month to anticipated ODM primaries across the country, Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama says he will bolt out of the contest if he loses in partynomintaions.
He has also dismissed claims that he will decamp to another party as ‘propaganda’ insisting that he would rather battle out within the party than decamp.
“I believe that leadership is not a matter of do or die. We meet in a contest and the best candidate wins. I have no intention to ditch ODM,” he said.
Nyaragama further said: “I paid for the nominations and I will finish this race. If I lose fairly, I am ready to back whoever wins because I believe in ODM manifesto.”
The Nyamira County boss was speaking at Gekano on Sunday where he also defended his development record in the past four years.
West Mugirango MP James Gesami and renowned physician John Kumenda are among those expected to challenge Nyagarama in nominations.
