Equipping Sub County hospitals, construction of ICT hubs and improvement of county roads to bitumen standards are among key priorities of Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama.
The ODM governor is facing stiff competition from a host of contestants among them Walter Nyambati (Jubilee), James Gesami (Independent) and Mwancha Okioma (PDP).
During the launch of his 2017-2022 programs, Nyagarama highlighted key achievements of his five terms and urged area residents to give him another term.
“Having put in place over 100 dispensaries, I will focus on equipping Sub County hospitals and dispensaries with drugs, X-rays and even ICU.
“On education, I will ensure village polytechnics and ECDE schools are further improved. I am also intending to construct ICT hubs in every sub county,” Nyagarama says in his manifesto.
Being an agricultural county, Nyagarama says he will ensure small scale farmers are boosted through subsidy programs along with construction of a multipurpose fruit factory.
On social services, he says that his government will put more focus on formation of Women, Youth and Disabled people Sacco which he adds that will uplift them social-economically.
He further says his government will focus on improving existing County roads to bitumen standards and also tarmac backstreets in major trading centers.
