Nyamira County Governor John Nyagarama has been accused of the numerous water disconnections in Nyamira County hospital.
Magwagwa ward MCA Fred Omayio claimed governor Nyagarama has been running the county government as 'his personal kiosk'.
“It is shameful that the county is unable to pay Kenya Power bills to continue pumping water to Nyamira County hospital yet the same governor can afford to approve funds for his personal trips outside the county. We will not allow the ODM governor to continue with his bad styles of governance,” said the MCA.
He called on the Nyamira County department of finance to pay the bills.
The MCA warned that more diseases could emerge if the county does not move with speed to ensure there is plenty supply of clean water at the county hospital.
“We have several people seeking medical care at Nyamira County hospital but my worry is that these people will get infected by the various diseases because they are using the same toilets without water. Patients will be forced to consume some foods without washing thus endangering their lives,” he said.
