This comes moments after Deputy Governor Amos Nyaribo protested over the skewed recruitment in which also the slots were increased from the initial twenty (20) to forty-four (44) without the approval by the Cabinet according to him.

And the tense situation has resulted in the ministry reacting to the County Public Service Board by ordering the nullification of the exercise through a letter written by the County Executive in charge of Gender, Sports and Youths, Peter Omwanza.

“The Department of Gender, Youths and Sports request you to nullify the recent recruitment and selection to various positions in the department due to reasons attributing to a number of factors,” read the letter.

“The General conduct of CPSB in respect to the recruitment exercise has portrayed divisions and lack of concurrence. This is evident through various engagements by a section of CPSB members in social media platforms. Some of the members have already disowned the exercise,” added the letter.

The new developments are a huge blow to Governor John Nyagarama who is widely believed to have influenced the process by allegedly creating vacancies to reward his cronies.
