Nyamira County government will soon launch 'government mashinani', a programme that will see county officers visit every constituency every one month to assess development and listen to views from the locals.
This has come at a time when the number of people visiting the governor's office every Wednesday has escalated, as noted by County Governor John Nyagarama at a funeral in Kitutu Masaba constituency.
"My government will be coming to each and every constituency and sub-counties each and every Wednesday to talk with 'wananchi' in what I call government mashinani," said Nyagarama.
Nyagarama also noted that they reached that decision after realisig that complains from ward levels were increasing.
However, the visits will commence on June 8, 2016, since next week on Wednesday will see the country celebrate Madaraka Day.
