Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama says he will ensure President Uhuru Kenyatta fails to score in the vote rich region adding that he owes Gusii community an apology.
His statement comes at a day when opposition leader Raila Odinga is launching serious campaigns across the country with his first stopover outside Nairobi being Nyamira.
At Kisumu on Monday, Nyagarama accused Uhuru of demeaning judiciary and warned that unless Uhuru apologizes, he would lose respect.
“There is no need to threaten people. We are all elected and it is wrong for someone to threaten independent institutions contrary to the law.
“I will deal with him on ballot come October. He should respect the Chief Justice and his team because that will earn him respect from his minors,” he said.
And in Kisii, several protesters thronged in the streets of the South Nyanzan town accusing Uhuru of subverting the rule of law by threatening the judiciary.
