Nyamira County Governor John Nyagarama has beseeched political leaders in all divides to welcome Uhuru-Raila's latest move to unite the country.
This is after President Uhuru Kenyatta and Opposition leader Raila Odinga met on Friday at Harambee House Nairobi and pledged to work together after a long political stagnation.
And now the county boss whose poll victory was upheld after a court petition has praised the understanding reached between the two political heavyweights as a move in healing the country's wounds, a move NASA principals claim they were not consulted.
"Politicians on both sides should come out to support the new unity agreement between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Honorable Raila Odinga because it promises the start of healing and reconciliation of the country.
"A national dialogue led by the country's most powerful and most admired leaders is a perfect start to heal our deeply divided nation. Those who oppose it should be disciplined by their respective parties and coalitions, "he said.
Last month, the High Court in Nyamira upheld the Governor's election after a petition filed by his political rival Walter Nyambati was dismissed, with costs amounting to sh5 million.
Nyambati, a former Kitutu Masaba Mp, had sought Court intervention to annul Nyagarama's August 8 poll victory over alleged voter bribery and illegal malpractices.
