Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama will have a tough test in 2017 elections given emergence of heavyweight politicians seeking to dethrone him.
Unlike other counties where senators have shown interest for the top seat ,in Nyamira things are quite different given the number of former and Current MPs who have shown interest.
West Mugirango MP Gesami and former Kitutu Masaba MP Walter Nyambati are in pole possession to succeed Nyagarama given their long political experience should he lose.
Gesami, who also comes from the same place with John Nyagarama has given the governor hard times by urging residents to vote for him given his track record as MP.
The equation might give Walter Nyambati given slight advantage given he may be the onlky top contestant from the vote rich Kitutu Masaba constituency.
Another factor is that Kitutu Masaba has not been well represented well in the current Government even in terms of development.
