Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama has urged leaders in the county to promote small-scale farmers and traders by buying their products.Speaking on Wednesday when he made a surprise visit to Kebirigo market, Nyagarama said it is rare to find elected leaders shopping in kiosks or buying from hawkers despite their products being of the same quality with those in supermarkets. "You wonder how a person changes and avoids the market that he/she used to shop at, a market where you get fresh sukuma wiki direct from the shamba and goes to queue in supermarkets for the same. Let us promote these traders and give them motivation in their work," said Nyagarama.The county boss further noted that even going to shop in such markets, a leader realises the problems facing residents and how to address  them."My coming here today is not only shopping but as well see where we can make improvement for your business to become even better," Nyagarama added.
