[Photo|the-star]At least five people have been reported dead, and five others seriously injured, following a road crash at Ngege, Nyakach Sub-county, in Kisumu County.Area traffic commander Andrew Naibei said three others sustained minor injuries after a driver of the Bestline Sacco 14-seater matatu, lost control as he negotiated a corner.The vehicle which was to Ahero from Kisii, then rolled and landed in a ditch, along Kisii-Kisumu road, Monday.Also confirming the incident, Nyakach OCPD Henry Malova said the driver was nowhere to be found and could have fled the scene of the accident. "Those injured have been rushed to different hospitals for treatment, including Sondu hospitals, Nyabondo Mission, and Pap Onditi hospital. The bodies are at Pap Onditi Hospital mortuary in Nyakach," he said.
