Nyali Constituency lawmaker Mohammed Ali and his CDF manager Mwalimu Mwanyumba are on the spot for what is being said issuing school fees to non-existing students.
The Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission on Wednesday started investigations on Nyali MP over irregular award of bursaries.
Some of the Sh25 million that was released to gather for bursaries is suspected to have been lost in the current scam.
It is said that there are four private schools in the constituency that were involved in the millions of shillings scam.
Sources are saying the MP has already fired three CDF employees over the same. The fired official are Fadhili Hassan, who is the project manager, Joshua Musyimi, who acted as the ICT head, and Ruto Ng'etich, who was the driver.
The fired employees said they were only told by the MP that they had to be stopped from their jobs due to several scandals in the office, with the bursary one being the major scandal.
EACC officials will be preparing evidence as to why private schools were awarded much money as compared to public schools in the region.
There was also another case of at least 4 students, who applied for CDF bursaries, from private schools and yet they were not genuine students from the said schools, and yet they were awarded the money.
The MP is yet to react on the scandal.
