The much hyped Jicho Pevu ndani ya Bunge episode is after all dead on arrival after Speaker Justin Muturi raised concerns on it, claims a source privy to parliamentary issues.
Youthful MP Mohammed Ali alias Jicho Pevu had planned to introduce his famous expose, which hit Kenyan screens for years before joining politics, this time round within parliament.
"He was told to hold it until after presidential repeat elections and later, both the Speaker and jubilee leadership told him to wait until Uhuru's inauguration," claimed the source.
But the source, who spoke in confidence claims that Ali had planned to use his investigative episodes to 'milk' money from gullible MPs and from Jubilee government, a reason why the program was put on hold.
"Jubilee government claim that he wants to use it to extort money and are not interested with it. The program is basically dead on arrival because they don't trust him."
And the initial piece, which had exclusively covered police brutality, had to be suspended despite KTN giving Ali an okay to air it, with the source claiming that the Nyali MP had been prevailed upon by by Uhuru through Aden Duale to drop it.
Elected as an Independent candidate, Ali's loyalty has been shaking following his presence in rallies convened by both NASA and Jubilee in separate events.
"I am supporting NASA and attending Jubilee function on request by my constituents does not make me an enemy," he defended his decision to join President Uhuru Kenyatta event in Mombasa.
However, Ali could not be reached for comment on grave allegations despite credible evidence on the cancellation of Jicho Pevu Bungeni program that was due to kick off.
