Nyali MP Mohamed Ali has hailed President Uhuru Kenyatta and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party leader Raila Odinga for burrying their political differences and agreeing to unite the country.
The former Investigative reporter said Uhuru and Raila meeting last week Friday, is a big step in reconciling the country that is ethnically divided.
Ali said that the Friday meeting has saved the country that was on the verge of witnessing political crisis characterized by un-ending politicking.
The Nyali MP said that the country will now move on and realize its development agenda.
"It is a good thing for the President and the former Prime Minister to put aside their differences for the sake of unity in our country," he said.
The former Investigative scribe asked politicians in both Jubilee and opposition to support reconciliation and unity in the country.
He said that time has come for Kenyans to end tribalism and negative ethnicity.
The Nyali lawmaker also asked President Kenyatta's government to spearhead reforms in government institution's.
He said that reforms is what will heal the country and prevent future political suspicion and anxiety.
President Kenyatta met with Raila on Friday last week where they agreed to burry their political differences and unite the country.
Uhuru- Raila's meeting continues to draw reactions with majority of politician's lauding the meeting.
However, a section of opposition politicians are raising issues with some terming the meeting as act of betrayal by Raila Odinga to his supporters.
On Saturday, Amani National Congress (ANC) leader and NASA co-principal Musalia Mudavadi maintained that they were not privy to the Friday meeting.
Mudavadi said that they do not recognize the meeting, adding that NASA's electoral reforms agenda remains on course.
Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and Bungoma senator Moses Wetangula have also distanced themselves from the meeting, saying they were not aware of it.
The principals will convene a NASA summit meeting on Monday to discuss the new development.
