Nyali MP Mohammed Ali on Sunday held a meeting with Frere Town women CBO members.

They discussed several issues including the projects they would like to pursue to empower themselves economically. 

The MP assured them of his support and donated Sh100,000 to kickstart their poultry project. 

"I remain passionate on matters women empowerment since the SI unit of a progressing society is how empowered the women in the society are," he said.

Mohammed Ali noted they had set mechanisms to see that women groups benefit from Uwezo Fund and Youth Fund (For those below 35-years).

"In my office, I will establish a help desk whose main role will be to help our mothers and sisters not conversant with drafting proposals."
