Kitui South MP Rachel Kaki Nyamai has hailed President Uhuru Kenyatta for nominating several women to serve in his cabinet .
Speaking when she inspected the ongoing construction of the Kitui-Kibwezi road on Saturday, Nyamai said that Uhuru's cabinet has men and women who will push the develoment agenda forward.
She said that inclusion of women in the cabinet will ensure that the country realizes it's agenda.
Nyamai told off critics questioning Uhuru's cabinet asking them to give the government time to deliver to Kenyans.
She said that Uhuru's cabinet repreents the face of the country contrary to criticism's from certain quarters.
"We are glad as women that president Kenyatta has included a sizeable number of us in cabinet which is a clear indication that his government is committed on ensuring equal representation," she said.
Nyamai asked president Kenyatta to serve Kenyans and ignore critics who she said have no agenda for the country.
She also asked the president to shun politicians debating 2022 succession politics and focus his energy on fulfilling the promises he made to Kenyans during campaigns for his second term.
The Jubilee MP said that Uhuru's government has the interests of the country at hear exuding confidence that it will deliver on it's pledges.
President Kenyatta unveiled his full cabinet on Friday last week saying that he has picked able men and women who will help realize his development plan for the country.
Uhuru's appointment have elicited mixed reactions with claims that the president used the cabinet slots to reward loyalties who campaigned for him in last year's polls.
