Barely two months after his dismissal, the Nairobi County director of communication, Walter Mongare has been reinstated by Governor Evans Kidero.

Mongare was asked to report back to work on Thursday in a letter that was drafted on Tuesday.

"I thank [Kidero and] the Public Service Board. I am glad to be back to serve Nairobi City County [Government] as a communicator,’’ read one of Mongare’s Twitter updates.

Mongare was suspended on May,3 and later relieved of his duties after he failed to submit copies of his academic and professional documents to the county public service board.

This was the official explanation given by the county government but other sources said that Mongare was relieved for falling out with Governor Kidero.
