Former Kitutu Masaba MP Walter Nyambati has called on Nyamira County MCAs to impeach Governor John Nyagarama over incompetence.
Nyambati, who unsuccessfully vied for governorship seat during the last year’s polls on a Jubilee ticket, said Nyamira locals will not benefit from Nyagarama’s leadership.
"I wish to urge MCAs to impeach Nyagarama because his government is not ready to serve the electorates.
"It is shameful that Nyagarama’s administration is not able to ensure there is plenty supply of water to Nyamira County hospital yet there are reports that the county drilled boreholes to improve water supply in the county,” he said.
He said the MCAs should get rid of Nyagarama to bring development in the county.
“MCAs are representing the electorates at the Assembly. Let the MCAs do the necessary within their powers and kick Nyagarama out for the sake of brining development in the region which has ragged behind in terms of development since devolution governance came into being,” he said.
Nyambati stated that EACC should move with speed and investigate the claims that doctors and nurses working at public health centers are selling public drugs to private clinics.
