Speaking during the thanksgiving service on Sunday, the foundation’s chairperson, Walter Nyambati, said the books would help the institution deal with acute shortage of learning resources due to its rising population.

“I have brought those books worth Sh200,000 as a reward for excellence in 2015 KCSE. You did us proud and I hope the trend will continue in subsequent exams,” Nyambati said.

“We’re all aware that the enrollment in this institution is becoming exponential and as your leaders, we must help you deal with acute shortage of learning materials,” added the former Kitutu Masaba legislator.

He urged area schools to emulate the Kitutu Masaba institution by holding benchmarking programs to help boost their performances.

“We still have so many schools in Nyamira County which are underperforming and we want them to borrow a leaf from Nyambaria High. I am determined to see good performance in our schools and as a leader, I am ready to work with all schools,” he said.

He lauded Education cabinet secretary Fred Matiang'i who was the chief guest and urged him to continue spearheading critical reforms in the education sector.

“Mr CS as a community and your colleague leaders we are happy with the work you’re doing in the education sector. Please keep up so that we can improve the sector for the good of Kenyans,” he said.

Mr Nyambati and area MP Timothy Bosire donated a total of Sh140,000 for the students and teachers of the institution which managed a mean of 10.18 in 2015 KCSE exams.
