Mochama announced his shift of allegiance from Cord to Jubilee on Friday morning much to the disappointment of his supporters who accused him of double stands.

But Nyambati has insisted that he will go for the gubernatorial race maintaining that he was the popular candidate on the ground.

“I am not moving out of JAP because someone has joined the party. I will contest for nominations and I am sure I will win the ticket,” he said.

“If Mochama (Charles) joins the race it doesn’t mean that I am scared. This is politics and may the best candidate win the race. I am ready to defend my political prowess in JAP and that is an assurance,” he added.

The former Kitutu Masaba MP hinted that he will not bow to any external pressure saying he had a right to seek any political seat.

“No one can impose voters’ leaders. It’s about going to people and asking them for a mandate something I am good at doing. I am sure of a victory with a JAP ticket.
