Former Nyamira County governorship aspirant Walter Nyambati has asked Nyamira County government to cater for burial expenses for residents who lost their lives in a tragic road accident in Narok County a few days ago.
According to Nyambati, governor Nyagarama’s administration should not ignore the families who lost their loved ones during the tragic incident.
“I wish to ask Nyamira County government under the leadership of Governor John Nyagarama to ensure the families who lost their loved one in a road accident are helped to bury the relatives. Hospital, mortuary and transport bills should be cleared by the county government,” said the politician.
He promised to be in touch with the bereaved families to ensure they get the support from the county government.
Nyambati mourned the death of 9 Nyamira residents saying it was a big loss not only to Nyamira region but also the whole country.
“The deceased people were travelling to their areas of work where they were going to build the nation. It is trying times for the families but we leave everything to God,” said Nyambati.
Nyamira County government has transferred 9 bodies from Narok county hospital morgue to Bwomboga mortuary.
A bus that was travelling from Nairobi to Kisii was involved in a tragic accident early this week claiming more than 20 lives.
