Jomo Kenyatta Foundation chairman Walter Nyambati has asked Nyamira residents to chose a governor who will account for billions of money that are pumped into county by the national government.
Speaking on Thursday during a funds drive in aid of Knut Manga sub-county branch to buy a bus, Nyambati said the post requires an experienced person and not just because of the person's fame and wealth.
"It doesn't matter whether it's me or whoever you will elect but let the person be the one who can account for every cent he receives from the taxpayers," said Nyambati.
Nyambati, who is eyeing the county top seat, said he has good track record hence stands a better chance of the characteristics of managing the said funds.
"During my time as MP I installed power to several schools, constructed roads, helped children for education and these has spoken all," he said.
