The news that John Mapozi was one of the passengers aboard the chopper that crashed into Lake Nakuru hit a small village in Molo like a thunderbolt.
The sleepy Yatta village in Turi division, Molo constituency, would probably have been on business as usual had the second born in a family of three not perished in the tragic crash.
But that is not the case here as family and friends live each day with hopes that Ndirangu's body would be retrieved.
Ndirangu, popularly known by his online moniker, Mapozi, is among those still missing
Others are Sam 'G' Gitau and Veronicah Muthoni.
Neighbours keep a prayer everyday, family get consoled and politicians, who Mapozi worked for as a blogger meet and raise money ready for a decent send off.
Others, like State House's Director of Digital Communication Dennis Itumbi make video tributes to remember a man who worked tirelessly for a political cause he believed in.
But no one feels the pain of losing a child like a mother.
Ms Florence Nyambura, the mother to John Mapozi, said news of her son's death shuttered her world.
Her life had changed for the worse. Nyambura has been at the lake since October 21 - the day the chopper crashed.“I live in Molo but I now have to stay in Nakuru so that I can be here daily,” she said. For now, only one thing will calm her world.“My heart is not at peace until I see my son’s body. I hope they will find them sooner,” she said.
