House Speaker Joash Nyamoko said on Thursday that the adjournment will allow the MCAs to visit projects in their wards and also give them them ample time to inquire on the ones that have stalled.

" We have been forced to adjourn our House sittings so that the MCAs will be able to visit various projects in their wards and also be able to inquire on projects that were allocated money but haven't kicked off because they are supposed to be completed in time," said Nyamoko.

Nyamoko further urged the county Roads and Public Works ministry to ensure all road projects that were allocated funds are completed in good time.

"It is the fourth year now since we started enjoying the fruits of devolution but some projects that were allocated money are yet to commence and we challenge the ministry in charge to ensure they are started in good time," the speaker added.

This comes barely two days after the MCAs stormed the Governor John Nyagarama's official residence to inquire why major projects that had been allocated Sh400 million in the last financial year are yet to commence.
