The Nyamira County Assembly has finally adopted the Sh5.9 billion budget presented to the House by the Executive Committee for Finance and Planning Reuben Sinange.
Itibo MCA Samuel Nyanchama challenged county departmental heads to implement the budget stating that further that the ward reps will ensure the budget is implemented if departmental heads show reluctance.
" I want to call upon all departmental heads to ensure that we fully support the components of implementation and unless we do that, we are also capable of banging tables to ensure everything is put in place," said Nyanchama.
On his part, Magwagwa MCA Fred Nyachae requested the County Assembly Service Board (CASB) to allow MCAs to play their oversight role responsibly in ensuring the budget estimates are fully implemented by the Executive.
"I urge the CASB to be very fair this time and enable the assembly department so that we can play our oversight role properly," added Nyachae.
