Tabling a motion in the House on Thursday evening, the chief whip, who happens to be the MCA elect for Mang'a ward Peter Maroro said for a long time now, some executive members have been taking serious matters of the house for granted, forcing the house to form an Adhoc committee to investigate the matter.

"This is a very serious matter we are deliberating on since some ministers in Nyamira have been taking serious matters of this house for granted and this is the very reason I am tabling this motion before the assembly because we really need to know why the executive is taking us for a ride on serious matters," said Maroro.

In support of the bill, a special elect MCA representing the youths' needs in the assembly Naomi Ondieki said that the executive members of Nyamira county government was taking the assembly for granted, further urging her fellow MCAs to hold the executive at ransom till they co-oparate before the assembly discusses the 2016-2017 budget for various departments.

"It is so saddening that when a member of this house who happens to be the chairman of public administration cannot be accorded information on the number of casual and support staff workers who are working under this county government," said Ondieki.

Finally the assembly approved the motion to have a seven member committee who will investigate the matter and later table a report to the assembly.
